This year, the moon appeared closer than it has since 1948. And we won’t see it this close again until 2034. It was at its brightest and closest at moonset on Monday 11/14 and I’m glad I roused myself from bed to catch it, because there was cloud cover when it rose as a full moon later in the day. What a beautiful sight to see!

I was so honored and thrilled that my friend from Grove City College drove 4 hours from Virginia for me to take pictures of her beautiful daughter. Makayla was a friend from the second I met her and has one of the most natural smiles I have ever seen. And I’ve seen lots!! And boy, oh boy was it a windy day!
I just loved this session. Madison is smart, athletic, artsy and has a gorgeous style all her own. She had a lot of creative input into her session and we ended up with so many great photos that are uniquely her. Enjoy!
Meet Lacey – a beautiful senior from Shippensburg High School. It was SO cold and windy for the first part of our morning, but we got some great shots. Of special note is the rope swing that she’s used since she was a little girl and the trusty Jeep that made it through three older siblings before it found her! I think I was most intrigued with the fact that her ancestors settled before the Revolutionary War on the very road on which she lives . That’s a lot of history!
This session almost didn’t happen. My schedule was completely full when Casey first inquired and then at the last minute (and I mean LAST minute) a time opened up and she was available! I was so glad it worked out. And one of my very favorite images is Casey holding her stuffed animal from the day she was born. How sweet is that?!
